Brazilian tennis player Marcelo Melo was barred for two months for a doping violation. The doubles specialist tested positive for the stimulant isometheptene June 10 at the Wimbledon warmup tournament. The Ponte Vedra Inn and Club women’s 3.0 USTA team is headed to Las Vegas (Darling Tennis Center) to play in the 2007 USTA adult league National Championship in October. The team, headed by captain Kim Marshall won the State Championship in Daytona.
